Pragma 0.4.0 includes a suite of new and enhanced features designed to give game developers greater control, flexibility, and efficiency across key areas including: new matchmaking flows supporting different game types, deep cross-platform order and fulfillment control and troubleshooting, rich portal theming, streamlined dashboard creation, improved load testing capabilities, and a simplified engine upgrade flow.

Expanded Party & Matchmaking Options

Pragma 0.4.0 introduces new options for joining and managing game sessions, allowing studios to create other entry paths without being tied to previous party or matchmaking requirements. This update provides studios with more control over the player experience, from direct game entry to backend player management.

Enhanced Order & Fulfillment System

The updated Orders and Fulfillment system in Pragma 0.4.0 has a new decoupled orders and fulfillment model that enables seamless cross-platform order and fulfillment management across major platforms. Along with it comes auditing and tracking capability to simplify customer support and troubleshooting to help with customer fixes such as refunds and chargebacks.

Improved Load Testing Functionality

The load simulator lets studios stress-test specific elements of their game, such as matchmaking or player data services, ensuring readiness for high-demand scenarios. This tool can spin up thousands of simulated clients with tailored scenarios, ideal for preparing for major launches or updates.

Dashboard Improvements

Pragma 0.4.0 now makes Grafana dashboards self-serve. We moved this from infrastructure into the core engine, allowing studios to control, update, and manage their metrics. This shift will further enable game developers to independently get to faster insights.
