Metrics Visualization #

Pragma uses Prometheus and Grafana to provide metrics data visualization. Grafana allows you to query, visualize, alert on, and explore your metrics, logs, and traces wherever they are stored. Use Grafana to view the defined Pragma Engine metrics and your custom Pragma Engine metrics.

Managed Grafana access #

Pragma provides access to managed Grafana during onboarding. You can reference these steps to understand how to login in or set-up your account with Grafana.

Create an account

1. Navigate to the URL provided during onboarding.
2. Choose the option to create an account.
3. Provide your email and set up your account. The email provided must be on your companies approved list of domains.
   • After you complete sign up, Grafana will report that you failed to sign in. This is normal and you have created your account successfully.
4. You will be sent an account verification link that you must use before you can log in for the first time. This email will take between 1 and 30 minutes to be delivered.

Login

1. Navigate to the URL provided during onboarding.
2. Choose Sign in with SAML.

Grafana dashboards #

In Grafana your Pragma Engine metrics are stored in Dashboards. Each of your shards has an automatically generated dashboard. This automatically generated dashboard contains information about your players, RPC statistics, database calls, http requests, and system status information.

Your changes to Grafana will be overwritten when dashboard artifacts are deployed for a shard.
