Game Operator Portal #
The Game Operator Portal has four provided services:
- Content Catalogs
- Content Catalogs Editor
- Game Server Management
- Player Support
Each of these sections can be accessed by selecting the Services dropdown on the top navigation bar.
Content Catalogs #
The Content Catalogs section provides a resource to view content within a game. All content can be accessed using the Rich
, Tree
, or Raw
views, and any entries can be sorted, searched, and clicked on for additional information.
To edit content, use the Content Catalogs Editor.
Content Catalogs includes the following pages:
- Items: stackable and instanced items
- Stores: stores and store entries
- Update Entries: update entry IDs and associated costs, tags, and
ext
content - Crafting Entries: crafting entry IDs and associated costs, tags, requirements and
ext
content - Rewards System: rewards, reward bags, rewards slots, and reward tables
- Limited Grants: item grants given on login
Content Catalogs Editor #
The Content Catalogs Editor section provides a resource to directly view and edit content within a game. Like with the Content Catalogs section, all entries can be sorted, searched, and viewed with the Rich
, Tree
, or Raw
views; with the Editor, however, clicking an entry enables editing directly. Additionally, new entries can be added by clicking the blue + Create button at the top right of each page.
Content Catalogs Editor includes the following pages:
- Items: stackable and instanced items
- Stores: stores and store entries
- Update Entries: update entries and associated costs, tags, and
ext
content - Crafting Entries: crafting entries and associated costs, tags, requirements and
ext
content - Content Changes: table of added, changed, and removed entries
- Rewards System: rewards, reward bags, rewards slots, and reward tables
- Limited Grants: item grants given on login
Content files must be initialized for the Content Catalogs Editor to work. To initialize blank content files, run make init-inventory-content
from the platform
directory to generate empty content files that can be edited or added to.
Track and apply changes #
All changes can be immediately published to the current shard (minimizing the time required for refinement cycles), or exported for use on a production shard.
For more information on live updating content, check out the Content Data page.
The Content Changes component in the top navigation bar tracks changes, and notifies the user when there are errors. Importing and exporting functionality can be accessed by clicking on this component and selecting the appropriate entry from the dropdown.
- Import uploads the
content/src
folder, overriding the existing catalog. - Export provides the content folder in a zip file, which can then be used to update production content.
The Publish to Test button causes the live content of the current shard to be overwritten.
Game Server Management #
The Partner Tokens page allows users to select a game shard and generate related Partner tokens.
Player Support #
The Player Support section provides a location to view, add, and edit players.
The Players page contains a list of all active players by display name, player ID, and social ID. These players can be sorted, searched, and filtered. Search options include display name, account ID, and email address. Filter options include whether the player has a verified email, tags, an associated identity provider, or belongs to a player group.
